I'm not a huge fan of Rincewind either - the wizards don't really kick in as characters until he introduces Ridcully. It just seems like a pointless rehash of The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic. Plotting was never Pratchett's strong point in the early novels but it basically spends around two thirds of the novel on the first act and then tries to cram everything else into the last 100 pages. But I think he has a few stinkers in his catalogue.įor me, my least favourite has to be Sourcery. I feel Pratchett has a ridiculously impressive hit-rate, all the moreso because of how prolific a writer he is.
